OUTSIDE THE CULT: Wetcats x Vandals on the Wall x PhilSTAR

Wetcats x Cult Shit Media Blackout from Tomi Uysingco on Vimeo.

Lets start from the latest shall we?

Barely after midnight on a Monday, Cult Shit Media Blackout dropped the video for Wetcats Clothing's premier collection of swimsuits. It has skateboards and swimsuits and girls with tattoos smoking the sticky-icky. We figured nothing goes more viral than that.

This marks the first of a billion more collaborations with a billion more others. Keep your head up and watch out for what we have in store for Wetcats Clothing's brother brand, Bakecon. We already have plans, alls we need now is the time.

Vandals on the Wall has been giving the cult a lot of blog love lately. From featuring KB's album in the past and the video for Opalus, to two dope tracks from resident cultists Nemesis Q and Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ// (blogspot is shitty and can't recognize crazy fonts: BOOOOO!).

Go click around the Vandals blog and get some indie cred points while listening to Nemesis Q smash a bitch.

While we're on the subject, someone new is gonna drop something for the cult, and dude's name is Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ//. Straight outta the xmas capital San Fernando, ZB lashes out with a not so cheery christmas mood. We think its better if you listen to his two tracks for yourself.

Also, remember to keep your ear to the ground, dude might drop something soon here!

And lastly, since I'm getting mighty lazy doing this update the blog thing, KB and Anna Korsakoff side project Love in Athens was in the local paper. PhilStar SUPREME. Go look for that in their archives, with the website we're too lazy to link. You'll find it, we trust you. Its a pretty good read. You should go do that while we take a nap.

Peace bitches!

CSR006: K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG x happyboy Split

Like a bat outta hell, a wild split appears!

We've hinted about this release in the last two posts, and now out of nowhere, here it is.

Happyboy's side of the split has him in his most post-rock leanings via glitchy, melancholy electronica jamz showcasing the spoken word of Quin S. Her words drip with the sadness of a girl that had her significant other die in a car crash coming home from the prom, a perfect compliment to happyboy's cinematic wash of sadcore electro.

Meanwhile, KB's side is a primer to what he has in store in his upcoming album, The Last ▲. This time around there are shards of light coming through the thick darkness. There's a more chill vibe, albeit, the doom and gloom is still evident. Its not so ambient, not so future trap/post-R&B, but we're pretty sure its a bit of both and then some. Futurist witches take heed.

The album artwork is done by the dreamy Bluetooth, Cult Shit Media Blackout's resident re-app artist - the one and the same that designed K▲B▲B▲L▲GH▲N. Look at that cover. Its fucking brilliant.

Now go download that split homie. It's imperative that you listen to it with the lights turned low with a bottle of scented lotion.
