CSRMixtape002: DJ Dragoste Winter Chill Mix

A couple of months ago we announced that DJ Dragoste is making a mix for the cult. But then it got sidetracked because homie's computer got hacked and for a second there we thought all of his shit got deleted into oblivion. Super glad that wasn't the case.

So outta the swamps of Louisiana emerges this Dragoste mix crafted for nights of the cold winter - this is something to get heated on and blazed to. Its hot, steamy, in-n-out animal style, syrup thick, gvcci goth best experienced with headphones, rolling on E and ketamine. Trust us.

If music has a color this mix would be dark purple.

Bump this on your christmas parties and watch the people go ape shit and fucking on the streets. Do it before the cosmic owl eats us!

CSR010: NULLSE✝ - BE∆RCR∆FT

It's a trap!

No, not really, it's just our homeboy NULLSE✝ bringing the evil. Mad evil that gives Salem a run for their money, with the southern trap clap and bass heavy synths that ups the evil to 11. You'll notice that we'll keep repeating the word "evil" throughout this post, because, this motherfucker is evil to the bone.

A fitting soundtrack to the end of the world, BE∆RCR∆FT sets the stage to the coming apocalypse with its dark sorcery of beats and sacrificial synths. Evil we tells ya.

This the first release of Null with "label support" which we don't get why. Dude is mad prolific (check out his bandcamp) and out to take names, but as to why no "indie label heavy hitters" has tapped him yet is a complete mystery. That's why we're here, to give people like NULLSE✝ the audience they deserve. Now, be part of that audience and worship on the altar. Virgin blood not included.

In the midst of making her EP - Saats Bahar made a few edits + a track off her EP to tide us over from the excruciating wait. Also: her track for the label sampler is mad bomb man.

CSR009: Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ// - BLV3 is †he c0l0r 0f y0ur h3ll EP

Its the 19th somewhere and somewhere Babel falls.

One day, out of nowhere, someone messaged our Soundcloud and Facebook page and asked if we would like to release his music. We listened to one track, one track alone, and we knew this person would go on and do awesome things. Awesome things that Cult Shit Media Blackout should be part of. That was back in October and that dude was Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ//.

And now it has come to this - a haunting 4-song EP that turns up the darkness up to 11. There's a thick fog of ambiance that permeates around the sometimes glittery, sometimes dragged out beats in Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ//'s world that would surely make the future shiver in dread. ZB just might actually be one of the horsemen ushering in the apocalypse, and we're in it for the ride with an awesome soundtrack.

Welcome to your hell, kids. And its color is BLV3.

CULT NEWS: New CSMB artists x Upcoming releases x DJ Dragoste mix x The Pyramid Head label sampler

Look. It's Tom Cruise. He's down with cults.

Anyway, where to start? How about The Broken Leslies. Comprised by 4 cats rocking and rolling the blues away, its not far off that The Broken Leslies would become your new favorite band. Because, despite popular belief, we are not just a label of genre bending electronic music. In case you missed the memo, we're down with tunes that are DOPE, and it should come to no surprise to anyone that WE LOVE ROCK AND ROLL AROUND THESE PARTS.

So let The Broken Leslies' blistering rock and roll break that puny indie neck of yours all in good fun, because that's how rock should be - fun and dangerous. Watch out for their release here in CSMB soon!

Anyone remember Spazzkid?

If you were following the progression of CSMB since its early days (which you probably haven't), circa 2007 or something - back when this whole operation came with the name PKi! - our friend and label comrade Spazzkid used to be Cocolulu. He even played his first show in the first PKi! House Show (that was also Legarda's first show before they became the juggernauts of post-rock they are now), but then he moved to sunny California and left us with songs that made us hopeful for his return. tl;dr Spazzkid is an old friend of the cult.

Well, Mark aka Spazzkid isn't back home and won't be any time soon, but guess what: since we got to talking and teary eyed with nostalgia, we decided that he should be part of the cult again. Fuck distance dude, distance is for chumps who don't have the internet. So better watch out for his first official release here and get stoked on his exclusive track on the upcoming label sampler at the end of the month!

For now though listen to his latest track featuring Skymarine from Davao. We've been playing this for 2 days now and it just won't stop being so incredibly good.

Now onto Lucas Tools.

Lucas Tools is a dude from Tunisia, North Africa and he makes electro ambient jamz that lasts for days, music that you just don't want to end. He is also a pretty cool dude and chill to talk to, if you're into that sort of thing. Anyway, there are plans of releasing his EP called Ketsuban - a first of three parts - here in the cult so you gots to be pumped up for that. It's going to be just MASSIVE we tells you.

But while you wait for that, listen and download his maxi EP Fresh Organic Product to whet your appetite. It's mad dope.

Dragoste is back! Well, we think he is. Dude got back to us a couple of days ago and said that he backed up his files and is going to finish mastering that mix of his so we could release it soon. Weird guy, but we love that bat shit crazy dude just the same. "Haters gonna hate I guess lol" was what he said to us when he messaged our Facebook. Hackers are bummers sometimes.

Listen to his Fiona Apple deep house remix and his remix of Mr. Biggs' Take That Shit to Trial for now, and don't worry, we'll tell you when to get back at us when that mix drops.

Now as for the label sampler we keep talking about...

Apocalypse comes early. CULT SHIT MEDIA BLACKOUT PRESENTS THE PYRAMID HEAD DROPS 11.30.12

With tracks from everyone in the Cult Shit roster. Better stay strapped til that one happens because you don't wanna get gunned down without hearing this shit. Real talk.

Also, don't forget that Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ// is gonna release his EP on the 19th, that's Monday, SO MARK THOSE CALENDARS.

CSRMixtape001: K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG /SLOZXRVHEDZ/ MIX x S▲G▲D▲ ▲LL H▲LLOWS' EVE MIX

Because of unforeseen events on DJ Dragoste's end (homeboy's computer got hacked and all his files were erased - some straight up cold shit so FUCK YOU ASSHOLES!) we're putting a hold on his mix for the cult. Return to us in the dark side soon brother!

But don't fret! K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG is a trooper and made this smash of a mix filled with oddball beats and drug filled remix nuances. This is something you play when you're falling into oblivion from great highs. Just let it crash my friend. Let it crash.

Download that shit NOW!

CSR008: Kidstuff - Nothing But A Test

Here's a record we're sure that would get stuck in your mp3 player of choice.

Kidstuff, the solo project from the frontman of The Strangeness Francis Cabal, is like a gem that was unearthed from a long forgotten musical past of rock and roll - its not of this time but definitely of the now. These lo-fi garage folk tunes is something a modern Woodie Guthrie would sing, stories a forgotten blues musician would tell. You see the trend here? Then you're probably close to what Kidstuff sounds like.

But then again there are curve balls thrown all the time.

Francis and I we're talking about the album and he said he's glad to get these songs out of his system. In my point of view its like expelling demons - and personally its like he is expelling his demons. And watch out for his Townes Van Zandt and Elf Power covers - they are heartbreakingly sweet and would be your new favorites. Someone tell Jam883 to play these songs on Different Sunday FUCKING STAT!

Expect more songs from the latest cult member soon because there are more stories to tell and more songs to sing. And take note: our November streak continues!

Download it. Love it. Leave it.

OUTSIDE THE CULT: UP! Australia x CVTY x Rocket House

Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt: UP! x Cult Shit Media Blackout from Tomi Uysingco on Vimeo.

Did we say that November is our month? Because it is.

Just last week, before we went up the mountains to gather shit tons of the sticky herb, we dropped the first collab video we did with UP!, Australia's premier guerrilla marketing team. So if any of you are in Melbourne, hook up with these dudes. They're dope.

We're dropping video 2 next week so keep your ears to the ground homeslice. Shit is gonna be bananas.

JUNKYARD SESSIONS from triskaideka tv on Vimeo.

And now for an oldie but a goodie. Around 6 months ago, we collaborated with our buds in Rocket House and the mad prolific CVTY Collective to make this short documentary. It was shown at Tiga South's first event at South Bar, along with some rocking tunes and more videos from CSMB and Rocket House. That was a blast. Go watch that shit again!

Oh and BTdubs, go like the Rocket House facebook page and watch the latest video reel they made. HYPE.

CSR007: Nemesis Q - Ganger EP

Fuck the hustle, bitch. Just fuck the hustle.

November is CSMB's month dudes, and what better way to open the month up but by fucking opening it up with a chainsaw in your mouth, down your throat, pass your rib cage, and through your innards? Nemesis Q's highly anticipated EP, Ganger, has that in spades... and shovels and hacksaws and a basement full of power tools.

This is not "aww she broke my heart and I'm gonna go write a sappy song about it" this is some straight up murder-your-ex-with-a-flamethrower shit, that's how much fire it is. FIRE. Filled with synths outta horror flicks and screwed beats, this is an EP no self-respecting hiphop head should be without. Cop it down below homes.

Albeit short, it makes us anticipate what Nemesis Q has in-store for that inevitably massive album in the near future. Get to it dude, we be pushing that shit like crack to niggas.

OUTSIDE THE CULT: Wetcats x Vandals on the Wall x PhilSTAR

Wetcats x Cult Shit Media Blackout from Tomi Uysingco on Vimeo.

Lets start from the latest shall we?

Barely after midnight on a Monday, Cult Shit Media Blackout dropped the video for Wetcats Clothing's premier collection of swimsuits. It has skateboards and swimsuits and girls with tattoos smoking the sticky-icky. We figured nothing goes more viral than that.

This marks the first of a billion more collaborations with a billion more others. Keep your head up and watch out for what we have in store for Wetcats Clothing's brother brand, Bakecon. We already have plans, alls we need now is the time.

Vandals on the Wall has been giving the cult a lot of blog love lately. From featuring KB's album in the past and the video for Opalus, to two dope tracks from resident cultists Nemesis Q and Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ// (blogspot is shitty and can't recognize crazy fonts: BOOOOO!).

Go click around the Vandals blog and get some indie cred points while listening to Nemesis Q smash a bitch.

While we're on the subject, someone new is gonna drop something for the cult, and dude's name is Z◊ɤɤ◊B▲Bͼ//. Straight outta the xmas capital San Fernando, ZB lashes out with a not so cheery christmas mood. We think its better if you listen to his two tracks for yourself.

Also, remember to keep your ear to the ground, dude might drop something soon here!

And lastly, since I'm getting mighty lazy doing this update the blog thing, KB and Anna Korsakoff side project Love in Athens was in the local paper. PhilStar SUPREME. Go look for that in their archives, with the website we're too lazy to link. You'll find it, we trust you. Its a pretty good read. You should go do that while we take a nap.

Peace bitches!

CSR006: K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG x happyboy Split

Like a bat outta hell, a wild split appears!

We've hinted about this release in the last two posts, and now out of nowhere, here it is.

Happyboy's side of the split has him in his most post-rock leanings via glitchy, melancholy electronica jamz showcasing the spoken word of Quin S. Her words drip with the sadness of a girl that had her significant other die in a car crash coming home from the prom, a perfect compliment to happyboy's cinematic wash of sadcore electro.

Meanwhile, KB's side is a primer to what he has in store in his upcoming album, The Last ▲. This time around there are shards of light coming through the thick darkness. There's a more chill vibe, albeit, the doom and gloom is still evident. Its not so ambient, not so future trap/post-R&B, but we're pretty sure its a bit of both and then some. Futurist witches take heed.

The album artwork is done by the dreamy Bluetooth, Cult Shit Media Blackout's resident re-app artist - the one and the same that designed K▲B▲B▲L▲GH▲N. Look at that cover. Its fucking brilliant.

Now go download that split homie. It's imperative that you listen to it with the lights turned low with a bottle of scented lotion.

CULT NEWS: New CSR artists x New releases x New jamz on Soundcloud

No its not the end, it just seems like we forgot to post that update on Mushroom, the Truth x King Mango Mustard collab thing we were talking about the past month. Whoops. That's what happens when you do nothing but watch KOTD rap battles the whole day (Dizaster won the chain vs. PoRich in case you're not in the up and up).

Don't fret though! We come prepared this time around. We have that and tons of other cool news, so lets get cracking.

What can we say? Its Shrooms and the Mustard doing what they do best - post-internet freak-drone with smatterings of found sound collages and heavy reverb. The double EP (isn't that an album essentially?) would be out soon enough so lets all hold our horses. But just by sampling this, you already know that shit is gonna be golden.

Speaking of new music...

There's new members of the Cult Shit Records, um, cult. 2 of them actually. First is DJ Drgaoste from the swamps of Louisiana. No wonder what he does is some dope ass murky shit that plays great on marshland parties. The kinds of parties where you get knee deep in muck that you can't dance right. What? You've never been to one of those? Damn son, you're not living! Bump this shit instead.

DJ Dragoste's first release for the cult would be the sick end of the summer mixtape (more like end of the world) for the CSR Mixtape series (CSRMIXTAPE001) and trust us, we heard the yet to be mastered version and just by that alone its going to be fire. And motherfucking brimstone. Get stoked on that!

Now get in-touch with your inner ghoul and step inside the zombie train 2-stepping that ghoulstep. Salute your new hero, Is▲Real. Not much is known about this cat, just that he would like to find those cyber goths raving to Mortal Kombatronica under the bridge. That and that this mix is pretty much the jam of witches. And if this is any indication what's in-store with his first release for CSR, then its gonna be gravy.

Best known as that guy who smashes guitars, make way for another title: that dude that smashes mics. Nemesis Q drops one killer filler that just makes us anticipate that EP even much more! Niggas in Stoops 2k12! Get that done already dude, ASAP.

<

Remember when we said that there's gonna be a Happyboy/KB split? Here's some news for ya: we have all the tracks and its tight as fuck! Not only that, alls it needs now is some proper artwork and that shit would be a go. It has 8 tracks that you and your partner could bang to, just enough time if you ask us. CSR006: Happyboy/KB Split soon!!

Now, if all of that doesn't get your attention I don't know what will. GET THE  FUCK OUTTA HERE!

CSR005: Mushroom, the Truth - Feathers in the City EP

Down with the crown.

Back around the mid-00s everyone was into Animal Collective and all that "New Weird America" jazz. Shrooms elevated those standards by mixing in drone and straight up weirdness that his western counterparts won't even touch.

Now that everyone moved on with their sound and no one remembers what the fuck Devendra Banhart  sounds like when he was on mad drugs our boy Shrooms is stepping his game up yet again with an EP that sounds rural as it is urban. Its the music of the forest if the forest is surrounded by towering condominiums: dreamy but grounded, droney but melodic, detached but hyper real. This is the sound of machines and barks of trees singing and smashing into each other.

Essentially its lo-fi drone-freak folk music for these dark times. Get at it dudes!

Mushroom, the Truth - Feathers in the City EP

And as if that's not enough tomorrow we would be releasing a sneak peek on what's in-store for Shrooms: a collaboration double EP with Cult Shit found sound magicians King Mango Mustard! Get stoked!!

In other cult news: Legarda's Happyboy is gonna release a split with okkvltists K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG very soon. News on that as it develops.

OUTSIDE THE CULT: Sadayatana x K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG

Sadayatana, according to wikipedia, is sanskrit for the six sense bases -- the sense organs and their objects. Its a Buddhist concept, bruh.

John Tocher, an LA transplant now living in southeast Texas, scourers the free music culture of the interwebs for new and old releases encompassing the realms of avant garde, experimental, electronic, musique concrete, industrial, and all these other dada-ist like music.

Now, if that is something that gets your rocks off, then Sadayatana is your cup of tea! While googling resident occultist K✝B, Cult Shit has came across this gem of a podcast. Its a pretty old episode (because a couple of months in internet time is the same as decades), released about the time Albularyo Prime came out on QED, making it an instant classic. And yes, we did stumble upon this by goggling ourselves. YOU DO IT TOO SO BACK OFF!

This is what Mr. Tocher has to say about Sadayatana 067: Beast People:
Show starts with a collage and looping of tracks by Universos Virtuales (fantastic!) and generally moves into drone territory and layering of samples taken from the Librivox recording of H.G. Wells' "The Island of Dr. Moreau".
The samples were woven into the mix via a script that selected then at random then delayed the selection and playing of the next sample by a random interval. It worked well but you can hear a sample colliding with the voice over / podcast id. Oh well, this is what experiments are for.
Excerpts were played of a tribute to Sadayatana by Luís Antero. Thank you Luís. Very nice.
Particular use was made of Graham Dunning's release "Recompiled 2010 - 2011". Fantastic stuff.
A couple tracks from the "Witch House" release by Kulam+++Barang "Albularyo Prime"
A crunchy and textured time was had by all. This show includes tracks by Backyard Ghost, Black Winds, Cdrx, C. Reider / Tarkatak, Digital Mass, Epsilon Eridani, Graham Dunning, Kulam+++Barang, Kluge, Luciftias, Luís Antero, Melophobia, M.Nomized/the Implicit Order, Morpheus, Peter Leshtchenko, Ricardo Webbens, Rigel Orionis, The Ghost Between The Strings, Universos Virtuales, Wings Of An Angel, Zreen Toyz.
Yes Vuvuzelas are heard to excess at the start of the show. Somehow it works great.
Get your headphones on kids, this shit is gonna be a bumpy ride.

Download: Sadayatana 067: Beast People

There are TONS of other episodes that span the musical gamut, from dark ambient to field recordings, something CSR backs hard being occult tastemakers of outsider music and all, so if you're here then you're probs into that too. Grab all the Sadatayana podcasts like Pokemons here!

John, you're a homeboy for life.

And since were on the subject of K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG, dudes are gearing up for another remixtape release for CSR soon. Listen to these two new mixes:

A glitchy/drone-y take on the OPM cult classic Gusto Ko Ang Nota of former sexy actress-cum-singer Aleck Bovick. Yes, this is serious. Also, where in the world is Aleck Bovick nowadays?

This one is for all the love ones. Particularly my man Big Pun, Pac, Biggie etc etc etc.

Good Bye E▲rth Remixtape 2k12 would be out as soon as the drugs get out of our system. The world won't collapse on itself before it comes though, so don't fret.

We also promise next time the post WON'T be about KB. Those prolific motherfuckers. Next up: CSR005! The enigmatic drone folkster Mushroom, the Truth upping the freaks with his Feathers in the City EP! Stoked!

CULT NEWS: The Pyramid Head Compilation x Nemesis Q

Its early in the morning, too early in fact, but lets pretend actual people read this blog and download our releases and get hyped when new shit is announced. The picture of Yao Ming on my lighter urges me to "go, do it anyway!" I'm taking that dude's advice, because I'm high.

SO.

Sometime this year CSR would be releasing a compilation, and we're calling it THE PYRAMID HEAD. Its dark shit for these dark times... the soundtrack for an upcoming apocalypse. Don't take my word for it, though. I'm known to lie and I hate The Perks of Being a Wallflower but think Veep is funny.

It would have new shit from everyone in the cult so get stoked on that. Exclusive traxxx bruh! It even has Nemesis Q in it! You don't know who Nemesis Q is? For shame! Listen here:

Now if that isn't dope shit. WATCH OUT FOR HIS EP OUT ON CULT SHIT RECORDS SOON! What? Yep, ya heard me.

CSR004: K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG - K▲B▲B▲L▲GH▲N

FINALLY!

After 2 months of being quiet, CSR is back with the latest release of those evil witches that dig on NWA and Cryptopsy! This sample laden 8-song album is an amalgamation of suburban white noise, hip-hop disses, horror synth magik, and the usual occult juju that comes along with any KB release. BE WARNED: No one can dance to this. But that won't stop the lurch of all the zombies digging on these witchy tunes. Eat those brains dudes, we don't really give a shit.

Those on the know won't be surprised with what's in-store, but for those who found themselves in this little humble blog and don't know diddly squat, well this is a good primer to what KB is doing. Don't blame Cult Shit if you start sacrificing babies after hearing this though.

Witch house is dead since 2011, but with all these black majik it's not gonna be lying in its grave all that long.

CSR003: -... - .--. --- --. ... - Medi(ca)/(ta)tion

Giving the Magik Markers a run for their money.

First of, King Mango Mustard is taking a fuck ton of time in making their opus, so we here in Cult Shit Records decided to bring this back out from the vault of goodies. Because tomorrow, Jesus would rise from the dead, and we're down with zombies like that.

Free form noise that goes nowhere and everywhere in a drop of a dime, that's what you'll be telling your kids after you play this record in your yearly clan gatherings. The enigmatic -... - .--. --- --. ... hail from parts unknown and make music just for the sheer enjoyment of it. Sounding like it was cobbled together by stoned shamans learning the mechanics of western instruments and television, this is a primal and spiritual out of body experience best enjoyed alone... inside your room... getting high like stoned shamans learning the mechanics of western instruments and television.

This is like Animal Collective with bad acid and bad trips.

But don't take our word for it. Listen for yourself!

OUTSIDE THE CULT: QD-4268: K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG - Albularyo Prime

As advertised!

Our boy Acid42 of QED Records -- the Philippines' first ever electronic music netlabel -- released this little gem and had this to say about it:

Kulam+++Barang is a one-man witch house producer who finds inspiration in slowed down vocal samples, hip-hop beats and stories of Philippine faith healers who heal the sick and the gullible profiting from their naivete. Albularyo Prime is a collection of his early tracks, a primer if you will, of the Kulam+++Barang rebellion against all that is crass and all that is mainstream. This is faith healing of the Philippine music industry, a homily wrapped up in audio barb.

Isn't that sweet?

Now go download that bad boy along with a host of others on their website! Click this link NOW!

CULT NEWS: CSR on Soundcloud x King Mango Mustard x K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG

Stepping in to the future!

Since you're all probably tech savvy and shit you already probably know what the fuck Soundcloud is so this won't come as big news to any of you. Anyway here's a new track from King Mango Mustard's upcoming full length (that would be CSR003 for those who are keeping score) Käännökset. They're calling it field recordings from home.

The party (if you call that ambient minimalism a party) doesn't stop there though! Since K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG is so prolific we're calling it now: CSR004 would be K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG's new full length K▲B▲B▲L▲GH▲N. Listen to this haunting party groove off the album and play it loud on your nana's funeral after party!

And pop those peepers creepers and dig the album art made by Blue Tooth (of the Cult Shit crew!) for the landmark album. Radimus prime!

CSRMixtape000: Curated by K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG

A remixtape that sounds like the end of the world. You never heard Justin Beiber like this.

Curated by CSR resident occultists K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG, the only Philippine witch house/crypt hop artist in this tropical island, its more suited in the depths of the cold Alaskan tundra where their radio pop songs are barely audible and listenable, buried underneath static, low powered batteries and the purple drank.

Rip this on a tape for your girlfriend for your next virgin sacrifice and (g)rave party zombie heads! Also lift up that chalice filled with blood in cheers for the first mixtape release on CSR! Expect more of shit like this is the near future.

K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG - eatshitdie mixtape

Speaking of the near future, our buds in QED Records would be releasing a primer on K†B jam packed with their S/T demo and 2 single releases! Gonna be out soon so get stoked! Here's the album cover so you could salivate a bit more:

Well isn't that pretty?

As if that isn't news enough take a gander at CSR's next release on the line:
OUT SOON!

And lastly have you seen this? CULT SHIT! Street art and film productions! Did we say media blackout or what? Come at us bro!

CSR002: Anna Korsakoff - Life in Terminals EP

Because of actual work that pays I've been putting off releasing this little gem.

But since I'm now free from the shackles of meandering slave work, I have all the time in the world to bask in the glory of these two songs. Anna Korsakoff is Francis Maria Regalado from Davao based chaotic hardcore band Caitlyn Bailey, and his more recent Manila ensemble, shoegaze juggernauts, Mount Analogue. But this is not about any of these outfits because Anna Korsakoff is a beast in its own right.

Life in Terminals sounds like the amalgamation of years living in buses and airplanes, in-between lands of noise and honey. Something sweet lurks behind all the noise -- a longing for a place we all call home. The 10-minute epic Life in Terminals would not sound off if Tetsuo hi-jacked the radio airwaves and covered the world in crude metallic fences and cables as vines; while In the Shadow of Emancipatory Dissonance is something any Not Not Fun fan would be proud of droning horror-like but saccharine all at the same time.

Listen to it for yourself. 30 limited edition CD-Rs are available and let me tell you, it would be worth having in your outdated CD collection.

CSR001: KrySStal KaSStleSS - SSampleSS EP

Krysstal Kasstless is the rape of nu rave.

This 3 song EP was birthed because nu rave and/or Crystal Castles sucked electronica's originality dry like vampires in a blood bank. Born out of hate -- these 3 songs are your childhood inside a blender mixed with a pounding headache that can't be cured by any stupid pill.

Two minutes and fifty seconds of blurry 8-bitcore madness in a tight little bundle. The perfect soundtrack for your latest roid rage where you kill your family with a crippler crossface ala Chris Benoit.

THE END IS NIGH!

We are a "boutique" record label that releases way left field recordings that are most of the time shunned because its too "avant garde". Avant garde is a fucking pretentious label and anyone who uses the term deserves to be fucking shot and their blood splatter be made into a Jackson Pollock painting.

Basically CS releases range from outsider folk to improvisational noise to lowercase music to 8-bit madness to electronic trickery and so far the ones in the label roster are:

- Mushroom, the Truth
- King Mango Mustard
- Krysstal Kasstless
- -... - .--. --- --. ...
- K▼L▲M†††B▲R▲NG

And other one off projects. Most of these bands-slash-collectives have outdated myspace pages since they live under a rock or in the mountains or in Japan -- but you could make sure of one thing -- before the world ends come December these people would take over the blogosphere and the entire world with their fucked up releases and that it would most definitely blow your minds!

And did we say we're making limited CD-R releases of each of the records? With hand made packaging and all that DIY bullshit? Pretty nifty for a small label in the Philippines eh?

So without further adieu welcome to Cult Shit Records -- your friendly outsider record label. Get at us bitch!
